HP Engineering provided MEP services for Core Architects on this project. Highlands Oncology Group offers comprehensive oncology evaluation and treatment and is known for their state of the art labs, x‐ray rooms, and chemotherapy infusion suites. Our task was to provide a comfortable environment that included proper thermal control and lighting levels. This project required our team to coordinate with several groups to insure quality design and installation of the various medical equipment and systems. In addition, HP provided AV design services that included distributed audio and video, wireless headsets, visual presentation systems and a graphic interface control system.
Here’s what Core Architects has to say about the project:
Highlands Oncology recently opened this new cancer center that brings a comprehensive approach to cancer treatment in a state-of-the-art facility. Medical services including imaging, chemotherapy, radiation therapy as well as laboratory space, exam rooms, non-profit offices, and a cafe are all housed in the center. Core worked closely with the groups of nurses, doctors, technicians and administrators to finalize the layout and overall design. The spaces are arranged to provide the best possible layout for enhancing collaboration among the medical staff while providing a light-filled pleasant environment for the patients.
This project received an award in 2011 from the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce and the Construction & Developers Committee.
