Hunt Tower
The mechanical system is comprised of extremely high-efficiency, variable-speed, water source heat pumps with redundant cooling towers & boilers. We designed an integrated occupancy detection system for the highly controllable lighting & mechanical systems, so both the lighting & energy systems adjust automatically when spaces are unoccupied. Combined with other efficiency systems, the Hunt Tower boasts the lowest energy cost per square foot of any building of this size in Northwest Arkansas.
The cooling towers feature an innovative electronic water treatment system which eliminates the need for chemical treatment. This prevents the overspray from leaving any type of water spots on the windows of the building. It also lowers the overall cost of operation.
The boilers are very high efficiency condensing boilers. They are less than half the normal size for a building of this scope because the water source heat pump units transfer energy from the inside offices to the exterior offices of the building without the need for boilers (except during extremely low outside temperatures).
We consulted to Core Architects on this project, which was built by general contractor, Crossland Construction. The Hunt Tower remains the tallest building in the city of Rogers.
